TRIPAC installations
General
TRIPAC systems are thyristor-controlled, fully automatically controlled, with reactor-based reactive current compensations equipped with high-quality, self-healing dry capacitors. The use of thyristors instead of switch contactors is recommended for very dynamic grid conditions with fast load changes or in grids with unstable voltage conditions.
Special features
- Reactive power is compensated in real time
- Zero current switching of the capacitors increases their service life
- No mechanical wear of switchgear
- Thyristors are maintenance-free
